Since I've posted anything.

Where to start, uh buildin a killer Shovel bob job for a buddy, got my shovel "Rosie" woken up and kickin hard for the summer, movin into a bigger shop space, lovin my wife and son to little bitty's, and THANK GOD winter is OVER!

A touch of Crazy Frank goes a LONG way!

Came accross this holy grail of rear fenders. It's an OG Crazy Frank's set up from back in the day. The fender, sissybar, tailight and p-pad are all one piece with the pad sunkin into the top of the fender. The front seat flows into the rear making it all fit together making it the stuff dreams are made of!

Anyway, here's some pics of it roughly mounted on my Shovel. It looks like it was meant to be there, making me as giddy as a big boned kid with a ticket to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

The front fender I'm working on, rear fender, and gas tanks will be getting nice clean paintjob to break up all the red on the bike.

All this will be done by spring so I can jam as many miles on my bike as possible in 2011.

Kevin Baas and his Chopper Class

There’s a School in Bloomington, MN that has a well known class, you don’t see anywhere else. This class consists of custom motorcycles, custom fabrication, a ton of fun and learning, and a pretty kickass teacher heading it all up, named Kevin Baas.

Kevin has been into bikes from a very young age, and is the founder of Kennedy’s Chopper Class. Being a certified teacher, and a killer fabricator mates the 2 skills required to make a class with a bunch of teenagers that probably started out having short attention spans work like a well oiled machine and turn out some really RAD custom chops and bobs.

Since we all know education systems have limited budgets that are already allotted to different areas, the chopper class does it a different way. Kevin is a very well known and connected person in the motorcycle world whether it be from his own business Bass Metal Craft (www.baasmetalcraft.com), or attending various bike events and appearing in every second magazine with either one of his super rad creations or a Chopper class build. He uses the contacts he has made in the business to donate many of the parts used in class builds. Companies like S&S, Drag Specialities, Vtwin, etc regularly give back to making sure the roots of motorcycling keeps on by donating to the class.

Just like everyone reading this I too really wish there was a class like this when I was going to school (I prolly would have been there more!), but there wasn’t. These kids have an amazing opportunity to learn from an already legendary craftsman like Kevin, shown in the exceptional finished products that emerge from the classroom.

Just recently the class finished up one of their most high profile builds which was for the cover of the Drag Specialities “Old Book”, a catalog that only deals with Flatties, Knucks, Pans, and Shovels. I have to tell you I’ve seen the finished bike and it is so rad I wish I had it parked in my driveway so I could admire and abuse it all day everyday. What a wicked way for the kids and Kevin to make their mark in history seeing as how the book publication will be seen and used by every dealer and shop in the world for years and years to come.

So this is a brief rundown on the well oiled, and amazing humanitarian class which is the Chopper Class. In a time where everyone thinks the true manual hands on Craftsman is losing ground to the computer age, Kevin Bass is doing what he can by training and moulding a fresh group of Craftsman that will keep the hands on working world alive, not to mention keep them coming to class everyday! I myself am a professional Tradesman for a living who deals with young apprentices everyday and definitely know how difficult working with a teenager can be sometimes. In a time where video games and plain old laziness take over the youngster fairly quick, what Kevin does is a feat right up there beside invoking peace on earth, ha ha.

To wrap this up I want to take my hat off, give 2 thumbs up, a high 5, basically give Kevin every possible good kudo for devoting his career to passing on various crafts to the youngsters coming up in this world. It is an amazing thing that will affect these kids for the rest of their lives in a very positive way.

Hopefully one day I will be able to meet Kevin, shake his hand, and say thank you for doing such a kickass job with the youth of this generation,.. Hell, I’d like to quit my job and go back to Chopper Class FULLTIME!

We here at No Shame Custom Works have been comissioned by English Don to design the foot controls for his remake of his groundbreaking chop the Babylon Tax. The controls consist of a true foot clutch and brake/master cylinder mount.

For those who aren't familiar with English Don, he was one of the fore fathers along with his partner Indian Larry of the New York chopper scene. His visions and designs are one of the reasons some bikes are styled the way they are today.

Don has been one of my idols who I have looked up to in the industry since I was about 10 years old. This is such an honour for him to think of us when it came to making a part in his historical build.

This our newest member of our family. He's 11 weeks old and he RULES! Most well mannered dog I think I've ever seen! Everything about him is juat right! He's about 90% Rotti and a wee bit Husky. One blue eye and one blackish brown eye make him very unique! I am soo happy with him!

He is affectionatly named "Dozer", cause by looking at the size of his paws, he's gonna be the size of a bulldozer.

Narrowed this Dodge 8 3/4 housing 9 inches all together. I'm happy with the way it turned out. It's goin in a stroked Valiant so it'll definitly be put to work. Threaded rod to run through the housing to hold the flanges in place for tacking/finish welding.

Tryin out a set of rad Wabbit Ears my homie Hach sent me for a future build. I couldn't resist to try them out on the Sporty. I dig the flow of them and they're comfy to boot. Notice the fancy new Front St. fender. It'll go under the knife soo to trim it to aboot the 1 o'clock position and strutted to the sissybah (that one's for you Roche!) Almost there, last is to

-drill holes to run wires

-Strut the rear fender top and bottom

-Put the thrust plate on the kicker shaft

-paint the sheetmetal

-go over and Loctite EVERYTHING!

-weld on exhaust brackets

-mount the front fender

-mount turn signals

-Make carb support bracket to come off the top motormount

-finalize the headlight and tail light brackets

-plumb, wire and FIRE

A couple hours of fab work and wiring and it will breath it's first breath of life SOON!

Locked myself in my shop again today and crossed a few more things off the list. Got my kickstand welded on, and rolled it out onto the street to see how it looks. My Front St. fender should hopefully come this week, as well as my Specialseventynine bars. Then I can mount the seat permanently and rock the bars I'm gonna be using and drop the headlight down some. But for now here it is. Drillin holes to run wires this weekend, and Loctite EVERYTHING.

I like it cause it's different. It's kind of a gooseneck/long bike/whatever it is. Something you don't see too often.

There has been a fuck up by our BRUTAL mail system and my payment for a fender hasn't arrived to Craig in almost a month. Now this fender is the last thing I have to slam on my bike before I can wire/fire get inspected and RIDE! So I'm dead in the water right? WRONG! Craig has graciously offered to send me the fender without recieving payment yet so I can move along on my bike. Now this is extremely stand up of him to do when not too many.... if anyone who makes a living off their product would do.

This just shows how much of a kickass dude Craig is and what excellent customer service he provides for his product.

This will be the first fender I've used from Craig and I have heard nothing but great things about them so I am STOKED and honored to be able to run it on my bike.

THE gas tank that Jay Roche blasted out for me is absfrigginlutely amazingly perfect except for one thing. I forgot to tell him that my frame has some up stretch and with the stock petcock location I'd be missing about a gallon of gas. So because of my dumbass mistake and not having Jay do it when he had it, I did it myself trying not to ruin such a piece of art. I machined 2 threaded bungs (I love that word) and welded them on at work with mig since my tig is actin up. I'm gonna be able to suck every last drop of gas outta this tank now. Usin 2 brass fuel valves. I think it turned out pretty good.

Well, today my boy had his first ride on Pop's sickle. He was grinnin ear to ear and laughing all the way. Needless to say we almost gave Momma more than one heart attack it was all good. Just the beginning!

He also graduated from his tricycle to a 2 wheeler with training wheels. He did AWESOME! One bail but he got right back on and rode again.

So a good homie of ours hit a rough patch and got in some shit because of a lowlife crackhead. Long story short Marco was being drug through alot of unecessary shit because he was doing what any real man would do if his family was in danger, and the fact he is tattooed and rides a motorcycle. Well, a bunch of us on LFTC got together and put on an auction to raise some cash to help out a homie in need. Man it was amazing how a bunch of dudes who most have never met each other face to face banded together and put some of their personal stuff up for auction to raise some cash for Marco. I really feel that we've all been there before in Marco's place without even knowing it. I mean I'm tattooed from the throat down and ride a motorcycle which automatically puts me in the "category" of trouble. I say fuck'em all, I have a family that I work hard to provide for as well as all of my buddies do too. Fuck stereotypes, fuck haters, they're all jealous because they don't have enough balls to go against the grain and be different.

Anyway back to Marco, in the end the system still sucks but our homie is free and happy to be. Here's to a real dude who did what he had to do to protect his own. In the end the Free Marco Auction and t-shirts made up by Andy @ Americon Icon raised almost as much as his legal fees were. Pretty fuckin righteous.

I am proud to be part of such a RAD group of Brothers on the LFTC board who do what they gotta do for each other without question.

While I was pondering what kind of tank I was gonna run on the IH build, a friend of mine Aaron recommended a gent by the name of Jay Roche aka Special79. Well I owe Aaron a thousand thank yous because as soon as I contacted Jay it was on! He is a real straight up dude with some mad fabrication skills! We chatted a couple of times and threw around some ideas and through my half assed descriptions Jay figured out what I was gettin at. I found a doner tank on Egay and got it sent to Mass for some special79 treatment. I knew how buisy Jay was puttin out badass tank, bar, and any other cool shit he does so I wasn't about to try and rush the job. Well Jay made it happen fast and with the most expert craftsmanship. He blew me away with how it turned out and how excellent it fit the backbone of a bike he's never seen in person.

In the end if you want to have a true metal craftsman work somethin for your build I HIGHLY recommend gettin a hold of Jay
